Rage against kesc: Another office comes under attack
Resident of the area and its surrounding locations protested near the Garden Police Headquarters.
KARACHI:
An office of the Karachi Electricity Supply Company (KESC) came under attack in Garden West as the protest against power suspension resumed on Wednesday.
Resident of the area and its surrounding locations protested near the Garden Police Headquarters while burning tyres on the road and pelting the passing vehicles with stones. Protestors alleged that the KESC officials did not respond to their complaints to rectify the technical fault in their area’s PMT. While asking the government to take notice, they chanted slogans against the utility company for deliberately depriving the residents of electricity.
The mob also attacked the KESC complaint office located near the Garden Police Headquarters and damaged the office. Later, a heavy contingent of police reached the site and baton-charged the protesters.
