Unattractive investment: Auction for commercial plaza postponed

Rawalpindi Cantonment Board earlier decided to construct a commercial plaza on the site and invited bids for 38 shops

RAWALPINDI:
The auction for shops at the site of former Rex Cinema in Westridge was postponed as it failed to attract investors on Wednesday. The Rawalpindi Cantonment Board had earlier decided to construct a commercial plaza on the site and invited bids for 38 shops. However, the auction was postponed due to poor interest shown by investors. Additional Cantonment Executive Officer Shakeel Anwar said that a new date for the auction would be advertised through newspapers.
