Civil hospital: CT scans to speed up diagnosis
Civil hospital emergency ward is now equipped with a CT scan machine.

The Civil hospital administration may have been unable to completely tackle the hygiene problem at its 24-hour emergency ward, but it nonetheless seems to have made efforts to lower the diagnosis time at the ward. Civil hospital emergency ward is now equipped with a CT scan machine, which is dedicated specifically for patients with trauma injuries, an ultrasound machine and an x-ray machine with a computerised radiography system. Doctors say that these facilities have almost halved the diagnosis time in the ward. Civil hospital’s emergency ward is the most frequented ward in Sindh, with a daily load of nearly 1,000 patients, which sometime goes as high as 1,400 patients.
