Naved still awaiting clearance from ban
Banned all-rounder Rana Navedul Hasan will appear before the PCB for the appeal of his year-long ban imposed on him.
KARACHI:
Banned Pakistan all-rounder Rana Navedul Hasan will appear before the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) appointed judge Irfan Qadir on August 21 for the appeal of his year-long ban imposed on him in March.
The all-rounder is the only player yet to learn his fate out of the seven who received bans or fines following the winless tour of Australia.
“I’ve been waiting to meet the PCB Chairman Ijaz Butt since June when I was told to meet him,” Naved told The Express Tribune. “I don’t know why this is happening to me. All the other players have been cleared or their cases have been processed but I’m still waiting for my turn.”
Naved, who has already missed a major part of his county stint with Sussex due to the hearing process, will not be returning to England as he makes the hearing his priority.
“I might meet Butt a day before the hearing in which I will give my version to clear things out. I hope he will understand and clear me like other players.”
