Helping flood victims
It is important that now with foreign aid coming in to help the flood victims, that it is used effectively.
LAHORE:
It is important that now with foreign aid coming in to help the flood victims, that it is used effectively and spent on the things that it has been sent for. The prime minister has said on record now that every penny would be accounted for. And while that sentiment is a good one, we hope that it will be implemented because we all know what happens with the iqra surcharge which the government levies. The best thing would be for the government to set up a transparent mechanism which makes public all donations and aid and how they are being used. Also, it is hoped that ordinary people also come forward and help out. For example, where is Imran Khan? What is he doing?
