Formula one: McLaren confident over Hamilton

Formula One team McLaren believes that their stuttering form this season will not have any bearing on Lewis Hamilton’s future with the team, according to the BBC. Hamilton’s contract expires at the end of this season and the Brit has made no secret about his disappointment with his team this tenure and has said that they are ‘falling being race by race’. But McLaren Managing Director Jonathan Neale does not believe the last three races are key to Hamilton’s future. “We have plenty of time; we don’t need to make that decision until much later in the year,” said Neale. “You have to look at the performance of the team in the long-term relative to other teams. Against that we stand fairly well placed.”
