Corruption charge: Patwari arrested with bribe money
Patwari accused of taking Rs60,000 bribe for the registration of land.
FAISALABAD:
The Anti Corruption Establishment on Thursday arrested a patwari on charge of receiving illegal gratification. Police said Binyamin, a resident of Chak 554-GB, filed a complaint with the Anti Corruption Establishment accusing patwari Muhammad Nazeer of taking Rs60,000 bribe from him for the registration of land. The complainant said the patwari was now demanding an additional Rs17,000. ACE’s Faisalabad Circle Officer Faisal Aziz Gill raided the patwari’s office, caught him allegedly red-handed and arrested him.
