Safety measures: Lifeguards to be deployed at beaches
Thousands of people visit the coastal areas from across the country between June and August.

Due to hot weather and summer holidays, the number of people visiting coastal areas has risen, prompting the city administration to approach different departments, welfare organisations’ volunteers and ambulance services to ensure security measures, availability of lifeguards, divers and first-aid facilities at picnic points.
Thousands of people visit the coastal areas from across the country between June and August and because of high tides in the sea during this season, their safety is of utmost importance, said the commissioner of Karachi, Roshan Ali Shaikh, in a letter.
