Home remittance: NBP launches new service

Ria Financial Services with a global agent network of 155,000 locations in over 136 countries.

KARACHI: National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) has announced that it has commenced ‘Foree Cash and Foree Transfer’ home remittance service in collaboration with Ria Financial Services, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Euronet Worldwide Inc. Ria Financial Services is recognised as the third largest money transfer company in the world, with a global agent network of 155,000 locations in over 136 countries. “This partnership between Ria and NBP shall facilitate Pakistani expatriates all over the world in sending money to their families and friends in Pakistan by simply visiting any Ria agent location,” says NBP in a press release. The amount remitted can be collected from any of NBP’s 1,277 branches across the country, it says. Cash remittance can be instantly collected via Foree Cash, even without having a bank account. Foree Transfer offers credit to individual accounts in over 1,200 online branches.
