Conman: Bail of man running con from jail denied

The bail application of a man charged with theft and running a con from within a jail was rejected by the Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Tuesday.
Zahid Shah allegedly called a man and asked him for Rs55,000 to return his car. The man paid up but did not get the car back, after which he contacted the police.
The call was traced back to Shah in Adiala Jail. Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui on Tuesday dismissed the bail application and asked IGP Islamabad and IG Prisons Punjab to initiate an inquiry into how a person within jail had been able to run such a con.
