KARACHI: Some 30,000 Pakistani applicants are amongst the 300,000 being denied permanent residence in Canada, according to a new bill being tabled in the Canadian parliament on June 26, said Adeel Ajaz, the president of the Canadian Backloggers Pre-2008 Association of Pakistan. During a press conference at the Karachi Press Club on Monday, he said that protests against this decision were being held all over the world. “For all these years the Citizenship and Immigration Canada has promised to process the files of these applicants in the sequence they were received, but now suddenly they are refusing and shattering our dreams,” he stated.
