Fraud charges: Verdict reserved for June 9
Petitioner seeks case against Abdul Qadir Gillani for swindling him of Rs380,000.

Additional district and sessions judge, Javed Iqbal Shaikh, on Monday reserved for June 9 judgment in a petition seeking registration of a case against Abdul Qadir Gilani, son of the prime minster, and an alleged accomplice on fraud charges.
Gillani and Shabbir Ahmed, are accused of swindling the petitioner, Nauman Ahmed, out of Rs380,000.
The petitioner submitted that the suspects had allegedly taken the money to get him a job in the Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL).
Ahmed said his applications for registration of a case against the suspects had been turned down by the capital city police officer and the North Cantonment police station house officer. He requested the court to direct the CCPO and the North Cantonment SHO to take action against Gillani and his accomplice.
Petitioner Ahmed said Gillani, who he said had been his close friend, had taken Rs300,000 cash and a Rs80,000 cheque from him and assured him of an appointment letter in a week.
He said when he asked Gillani about the letter 20 days after the payment he refused to acknowledge the deal and threatened him with dire consequences if he took up the matter with the police.
He said Gillani had told him about some senior jobs in the SNGPL during a visit to his house on March 27,2012, and demanded Rs4,00,000 to get him one of the jobs.
