Environment: ‘Ethanol best to fight air pollution’

FAISALABAD: “Ethanol is one of the best oils to fight air pollution,” University of Agriculture Vice Chancellor Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan said on Monday. He was addressing a seminar on Ethanol Production in Pakistan, arranged by the UAF Institute of Agricultural and Resource Economics. The VC said that the usage of generators had jacked up manifold in the country and was becoming a source of increased pollution in the country. He called for social mobilisation to cope with the challenge of pollution, saying that there was need to produce energy from solid waste.  Michael Lindbloom from the Kansas State University, USA, also spoke on the occasion.
