Fifth since may: Another doctor kidnapped in city
Dr Nayab Gohar, a post-graduate MCPS trainee at the paediatric department of BMU was kidnapped.

Dr Nayab Gohar, a post-graduate MCPS trainee at the paediatric department of Baqai Medical University (BMU) was kidnapped on Saturday, The Express Tribune has learnt. His kidnapping is the fifth case since last month, and the eighth of this year so far in Sindh province. One of the doctors, a neurosurgeon at Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences also lost his life last week. According to a colleague of Dr Gohar, who also worked at BMU’s Fatima Hospital, Gohar left work on Saturday. He told his colleagues that he would be back after dinner but he did not show up. The hospital learnt about the kidnapping when his car was found abandoned near Safoora Goth on Sunday and the family called the hospital. Another young doctor, 27-year-old Faisal Iftikhar, was abducted four weeks ago from Gulshan-e-Hadeed. Only Gohar and Iftikhar are young while the rest of the victim doctors are relatively old and established.
