KARACHI:
Sindh Athletics Association (SSA) Secretary Zahid Rizvi has said that the National Sports Training and Coaching Centre (NSTCC) will soon have a new tartan track after a promise made by Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) Director General Ameer Hamza Gillani. The SSA, under the supervision of Rizvi, has also conducted a training camp for 45 coaches of Pakistan. “Gillani has promised that NSTCC will have a new track soon,” Rizvi told The Express Tribune. “Our aim was to convince Gillani that we needed a new tartan track because the present one has become too old and thankfully he has given us a nod after contemplation.” Rizvi said that the change of track will cost in the region of Rs40-50 million.
