Bad cheque: Embezzler booked
a Rs16m cheque that bounced.
ISLAMABAD:
A man accused of swindling large sums of money from a relative’s shop was booked after giving the complainant a Rs16m cheque that bounced.
Zahid Ahmed lodged a complaint with the Sabzi Mandi police that his relative Mazhar Hafeez, a manager at one of his shops, embezzled Rs16m over a period of time.

After Ahmed found out, Hafeez promised to return the money and gave him the cheque, which was dishonoured. The police registered a case.
