LAHORE: Police on Friday arrested a constable when the Lahore High Court (LHC) rejected his bail application in a fraud case on his ex-wife’s complaint. Petitioner Naheed, a police constable, told the court that her former husband, Saqib, a police constable, had transferred her property to himself using forged documents. She said she had never signed any transfer documents during the marriage or divorce. She asked the court to cancel his bail. Saqib said that his wife had transferred the property according to her will. After recording the arguments of both parties, Justice Mazhar Ali Akbar Naqvi rejected Saqib’s bail application.
