Parliamentary Watchdog: Govt to cooperate with PAC, says Gilani
PM says government firmly believes in accountability.
ISLAMABAD:
Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani on Thursday assured Public Accounts Committee (PAC) chief Nadeem Afzal Chan that his administration would extend full cooperation to the committee as it was the symbol of supremacy of parliament. The premier in the meeting at the prime minister’s house said, his government firmly believes in accountability. The chairman thanked the prime minister and said the public exchequer will be subjected to scrutiny by the parliament through the PAC.
