Left-arm spinner Hassan Mehmood grabbed three wickets to guide Faisalabad CC into the semi-finals of the 2nd Pakistan Champions League courtesy a 28-run win over Afghanistan Youth Academy.
Faisalabad CC scored 135 for nine as Naveed Haider top-scored with 45 off 36 balls while Sabir Hussain played a 30-run cameo. Gulbadin Naib claimed three wickets for Afghanistan.
In reply, the tourists were bundled out for 106 in 19.2 overs despite Mohammad Shazad’s 39-ball 55. Meanwhile, Hong Kong were knocked out in the quarter-finals by Khyber Green Fata.
