Raid: Three ‘bank robbers’ arrested
The suspects, identified as Imran Rafiq, Abu Baker and Asif Shah, were arrested from Keamari.

The Crime Investigation Department’s Anti-Extremist Cell (AEC) claimed to have arrested on Tuesday three suspects allegedly involved in several bank robberies in the city.
The suspects, identified as Imran Rafiq, Abu Baker and Asif Shah, were arrested from Keamari. Two Kalashnikovs, two TT pistols, eight laptops, three cell phones, one stolen pickup and Rs0.5 million were also seized in the raid.
AEC chief SSP Chaudhry Aslam said the arrested persons have admitted involvement in several bank robberies in the city.
He claimed the suspects had robbed Rs6.8 million from a bank in Saeedabad in May and were involved in many bank robberies in Solidier Bazaar. SSP Aslam said the arrests were made possible through the CCTV footage obtained by the police from the Saeedabad bank. The suspects were also involved in street crimes, he added.
