‘Unlicensed’: Law student beaten
Lawyers beat up a law student on the court premises for appearing before a court without a licence.
LAHORE:
More than 10 lawyers on Monday beat up a law student on the district and sessions court premises for appearing before a court without a licence.
The student, however, said that he was assisting a lawyer and had not appeared before a court.
The lawyers took him to Islampura police station from where he was taken to Baghbanpura police station. Officials said that Hashim had been nominated as a suspect in a dishonoured cheque FIR.
Advocate Imran Cheema, said Hashim had been “warned” against “pretending to be a lawyer earlier.
