Useless ban: Cattle return to Rawat
Cattle have returned to the city, as a result of which animal waste can been seen on roads

The City District Government has failed to enforce a cattle ban in Rawat Town, Rawalpindi.
A number of cattle have returned to the city, as a result of which animal waste can been seen on roads in localities like Gawalmandi, Glass Factory, Chanda Chichi, Reheemabad, Dhoke Khaba, Dhoke Kala Khan. Shamisabad, Dhoke Munchi, Chaklala, Dhoke Kamaldin, Dhoke Anwar, Dhoke Charghdin and surrounding areas, roads and streets are turning into heaps of garbage.
The waste of animals, which not only causes nuisance for the residents, is providing favourable environment to the mosquitoes to grow.
Shehzad, a local resident, said milkmen had “somehow gotten permission for keeping animals in residential localities”.
He alleged that during their drives, the government officials would ask the milkmen to take their animals outside of the city boundaries. But as soon as the campaigns would end, they would allow them back into the city.
