Clarification: NAB refutes PEW statement
No deal between NAB and the KSE has taken place to bring rogue brokers to account.
ISLAMABAD:
With reference to a news item published in different dailies based on a press release by the Pakistan Economy Watch, it is clarified that the news about a deal between the National Accountability Board (NAB) and the Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) is incorrect. No such deal has taken place between NAB and the KSE to bring rogue brokers to account. It is, however, added that officials of NAB Sindh visited the KSE on Feb 16, 2012, to receive a briefing on various issues related to the KSE. A press release in this regard was issued on Feb 16, 2012 and published in different newspapers on Feb 17, 2012.
