Art exhibition for charity marks the opening of a café

Operating on a trial basis since months, Chocolate Café formally inaugurates.

ISLAMABAD:

The proceeds from “Images of the Soul”, an exhibition that opened on Friday, will go to children that work in brick kilns. The 15 works were painted by artist Samina Jamshed.

The exhibition also marked the official opening of the Chocolate Café, which has been operating since a while now.

Situated in the heart of the capital at the back of Jinnah Super, the café offers more than just coffee. From freshly baked breads to baked items and snacks, the Chocolate Café is ideal for ladies that enjoy buying their bread and sipping coffee in a comfortable environment.

Amina Saeed, a visitor, liked the fact that all goods at the bakery are fresh. “The location, too, is very ideal,” she added.

Owner Hamid Waheed said that although the café opened some months ago, they were going through a trial phase to see the scope of the place before they launched it formally. Waheed added they specialise in chocolate cakes and other chocolate items.

Bangladesh High Commissioner Suhrab Hossain inaugurated the event. He said, “The place is very nice and cosy.”

The café also has a pizzeria, where pizzas are freshly baked in front of the customer. The café offers seating for people both inside and outside.
