Narcotics trade: Speed seized at airport
According to Customs spokesman Qamar Thalho, Chee had concealed the narcotics in artful manner within his suitcase.

Pakistan Customs seized 1.2 kilograms of amphetamines from a Malaysian national at Jinnah International Airport, on Wednesday. Goh Yoon Chee has been taken into custody and is being investigated.
Charges will be brought against him under the Control of Narcotics Substances Act of 1997. According to Customs spokesman Qamar Thalho, Chee had concealed the narcotics in an “artful” manner within his suitcase. “He [Chee] had concealed in specially built side wall cavities, handle rods and the base of the suitcase,” said Thalho. Amphetamines are a psychotropic substance which can be easily procured in Pakistan with lax enforcement at many pharmacies that should only be providing these drugs with prescriptions, but often skip this to make a sale.
The substance is often used to make intoxicants such as the commonly known drug “speed” which increases wakefulness and focus as well as decreases appetite. It can be used recreationally and also as a performance enhancing drug for athletes. The preventive collectorate of the drug enforcement cell recovered the drug and according to their estimates, it has a value of 12 million rupees in the local market. The passenger was set to fly on Air Lanka Airlines flight UL-184 for Kuala Lumpur via Colombo.
