Water issues: CDA to up water tankers from 18 to 24
The CDA will also increase the water supply from Simly Dam to 2 million gallons a day starting June.
ISLAMABAD:
The Capital Development Authority (CDA) will increase its arsenal of water tankers from 18 to 24, an official said on Tuesday. The upgrade will help the civic body provide water to sectors I-10, G-11 and G-10, which are currently facing a shortage of water. The existing number of tankers is not enough to provide water to all sectors at a single time, the official said. The CDA will also increase the water supply from Simly Dam to 2 million gallons a day starting June. This will help alleviate the water shortage in the city, the official added.
