Dispute: Two killed in armed clash in Quetta
Police says a petty dispute between two rival groups turned into a clash, killing two people, injuring another.
QUETTA:
At least two people were killed, another sustained injures in an armed clash between two rival groups in the Eastern Bypass area of Quetta on Tuesday.
According to police, a petty dispute on a piece of land turned into the clash. Both groups took positions and opened fire on each other in the Busa Mandi area of Eastern Bypass.
Resultantly, two people were killed on the spot while another sustained injures. Police rushed to the spot soon after the incident and cordoned off the area.
The deceased and injured were taken to the Provincial Sandeman hospital for autopsy.
The deceased were identified as Akbar and Fazalur Rehman, and the injured as Babo.
Local police officer Sikandar Tareen said there was dispute on a piece of land in Eastern Bypass. “Police are investigating the incident,” he said.
