The president of the Supreme Court Bar Association Yaseen Azad visited the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) headquarters Nine Zero on Monday and met with the party’s Coordination Committee members to discuss the situation in Balochistan and invite them to a conference on the subject.
According to a statement issued by the MQM, Azad met with Coordination Committee members Shoaib Bukhari and Shahid Latif and had a detailed discussion on Balochistan.
Other party members were also present. Azad and the MQM leaders expressed concern over the victims of enforced disappearances in Balochistan and stressed that the issue needed to be resolved soon. Azad also invited the MQM to a conference on Balochistan being organised by the Supreme Court Bar Association on May 26 in Islamabad.
The MQM’s Shahid Latif thanked Azad for visiting Nine Zero with a delegation, and noted that the MQM had always played a role to resolve the issues of Balochistan.
