Service structure: Paramedics continue protest

FAISALABAD:
Paramedical staff of the Social Security Hospital Faisalabad continued their protest for a better salary package on Monday and staged a demonstration in front of the hospital to press for the demand. The demonstrators later marched towards the Flatan Wala Chowk. Addressing the protesters, Rana Ghaffar and Haq Nawaz said paramedics of all social security hospitals in the province would boycott work if their demands were not met by the administration. Their demands, they said, included revamping of the service structure, salary and fringe benefits raise, provision of leave encashment, elimination of the difference between low grade and up grade employees and an exemption from income tax.
