A division bench of the Lahore High Court on Monday issued a notice to the National Accountability Bureau in the bail petition of former Bank of Punjab president Hamesh Khan. The bureau has been asked to reply in a week. Khan, accused of being involved in a Rs9 billion bank loan scam, submitted that a co-accused had been released on bail but he was being denied the same relief. His counsel asked that Khan be released on bail.
