MULTAN: The government is offering a 60 percent subsidy to farmers looking to install drip irrigation systems, Multan Regional Deputy Director Ghulam Shabbir said on Thursday.

He said that farmers with 15 acres or less can register for the sprinkling systems which reduce input cost by 25 to 35 per cent and enhance produce by 20 to 100 per cent. He said drip irrigation will help overcome the irrigation water shortage in the country.
