Suspected terrorists: Two held from Kahuta with explosives

The Rawalpindi police arrested two suspects and held 10kg of explosives from a van near Kahuta on Thursday. The Kahuta police intercepted a Suzuki Bolan during a routine check on Tangi Road and found explosives in sacks in the rear. The suspects, Sher Zaman from Bajaur Agency and Muhammad Nadeem from Azad Jammu and Kashmir, were arrested after they failed to produce a permit for the explosives. Kahuta police SHO said according to preliminary investigations, the suspects are not related to any terrorist organisation, nor do they have a background of involvement in terrorist activities. He did not confirm if the suspects were smuggling the explosives, saying it is premature to say anything at this point.
