The notification has been asked for so that the logic and reasoning behind the cell's creation can be determined.
Express News reported that the court has said if the Habib bank reports are not presented by May 19, a case will be registered with the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).
The Habib Bank president was asked to provide bank reports on the transactions that took place in Habib bank in the 1990s.
The governor of the State Bank of Pakistan was also asked to look into the matter.
The Ministry of Defence has been asked to produce a statement on the claims made by former Inter-Services Intelligence Agency (ISI) chief Lieutenant General (retd) Assad Durrani. On Wednesday, Durrani had conceded to the role of ISI and Military Intelligence (MI) in rigging the 1990 parliamentary elections.
Correction: The story previously stated "former Mehran Bank president" instead of "current Habib Bank president". The correction has been made.

So in every case no matter when and where it happened from atrocities in East Paksitan to bribing politicians, stealing elections, protecting OBL, all are ZAB or BB's fault. Never in the long history of military rule where they could single handedly hang an elected PM, kill 80 years old Akbar Bugti and surrender in record number, they are never responsible for all the humiliation and injustices. PCO SC is expert in finding some connection to malign the most popular leaders repeatedly elected by the rural heartland of Pakistan.
@Mirza:
"The generals and judges are all innocent angels. Glad that PCO SC has found connection to ZAB in a 1990 case!"
As I can recall, you were the most vociferous critic of the Supreme Court for not taking up the Asghar Khan case. Now they have commenced the hearing and the truth, that does not suit you, has started coming out, and you are still complaining. The only thing PPP is apt at, apart from corruption and plunder, is whining and complaining like a patient of "self-pitty".
Regarding PCO SC, one set of PCO judges (Dogar Courts) is all constitutional and very acceptable to you, but the current set of judges including PCO and non-PCO judges are just the PCO judges. Meanwhile, you completely ignore the fact your own leader Benazir declared the CJ Iftikhar Ch. as her CJ and promised to raise the Pakistani flag at his residence by herself while he was under detention. And you also forget who takes the credit of restoring the current judiciary. Your own Prime Minister.
"Jinnah made Pakistan....."
How making Pakistan is equivalent to creating an infamous illegal political cell to control and spy on the politicians. This act is more or less like "Watergate Scandal". I used to say this for Indian commentators but now I realize it is also applicable to PPP Jialas as well "Indians are different species with whom facts, logic and reasoning doesn't work".
"the Supreme Court asked the government to hand over the notification on the creation of a political cell in the ISI by Zulfikar Ali Bhutto in May 1975"
Well, well, well. It came out to be the Pakistan Peoples Party who invented this infamous political cell, while all the years long they've been crying for being the victim of this cell. "One who digs a ditch for the others, eventually falls himself in it", and now Jialas must stop whining.
@Mirza: Are you denying the fact that political cell of ISI was the brain child of ZAB? What about the role of FSF in persecuting and pressurising the opposition?
Everything that is wrong with Pakistan should be attributed to a dead man ZAB. From his own hanging by the judges, East Pakistan surrender, Zia's ruthless rule, Yehya's drunkness, BB and Taseer murders, depriving PPP of election victories, OBL's presence, Shamsi Base, all are due to one man and one party. The generals and judges are all innocent angels. Glad that PCO SC has found connection to ZAB in a 1990 case!
@ AG hats off your golden words of morality are well said.
If what ever Assad Durrani said is Correct, the senior Gen and others in the Army and ISI brushed aside conveniently the oft repeated Norm in the British Army ( and British Indian Army) from where both Indian and Pakisthan Armies have roots. That is " There are two types of Commands. The Lawful and unlawful commands. The unlawful you should not obey even if it comes from the highest Rungs".
ZAB is behind every problem that has afflicted Pakistan. Just goes on to show cleverness cannot be equated with wisdom. This is a lesson that every Pakistani should learn.
@Shuaib: Just because there are hurdles on the way doesn't mean we shouldn't try. There's a fundamental rule of morality that is almost universally flouted but that I'll state here anyway: "You and I are responsible for what you and I do and what we can effect. What others do that we can't change has no bearing on the morality of our actions."
The SC must pursue the course of justice irrespective of what the executive is or is not doing.
good
I predict that the Attorney General will inform the court that the notification cant be found!
With regret I have to say its pointless in the SC opening up this case and other cases involving prominent politicians as nothing ever seems to come out of it! The courts spend ages on these cases wasting time and money at the end they give verdicts based on fear of what could happen to the system. The executive openly flaunts its judgements why should anyone else implement SC judgements! if the executive can't lead by example by implementing court orders then it is wrong to expect the common man to implement! Either that or provide equal justice to all!
