Crime: Two couples found killed in Faisalabad
An FIR registered in the matter accuses the woman’s family of the murder.
FAISALABAD:
A man and his wife were found killed at their house in Rodala Road police station precinct on Monday.
The deceased were identified by the police as Shazia Bibi and Shaukat Hayat, residents of Chak No.584-GB.
An FIR registered in the matter accuses the woman’s family of the murder. Complainant Muhammad Aslam, father of Hayat, submitted in the FIR that Shazia Bibi’s family was opposed to her marriage with Hayat. The couple fled their houses and got married about one-and-a-half year ago, it added.
The complainant said a panchayat had been arranged by the woman’s family in Okara that declared the couple karo kari.
The police have sent the bodies for a post mortem examination and registered a case against 10 identified and five unnamed suspects.
In another incident, a man and his wife were found killed at their house in Rajana precinct. Yaseen and Shamim Bibi were shot and killed by unidentified men at in their sleep in Chak No186-GB, Gadhianwala.
