Taekwondo: Army continue domination of national event
Army swept the men's heavyweight, flyweight and women's categories.
KARACHI:
Army’s Mohammad Sajjad clinched gold in the heavyweight category of the National Taekwondo Championship ahead of Wapda’s Nasir Shah. Police’s Adil bin Tallat finished third to grab the bronze medal.
Saifullah of Army won the gold medal in the flyweight event, defeating Pakistan Railways Mohammad Taufeeq. Wapda’s Naveed Khan outplayed Army’s Adeel Shah in the lightweight event to take first place.
In the women’s event, Army’s Radika Jan defeated Wapda’s Madiha in the featherweight category, and national champion Ghulam Fatima managed to defend her title in the lightweight event.
