Sharif to skip National Economic Forum conference
PML-N official says his party doesn't recognize Gilani as PM, hence Punjab govt will not coordinate with him.
LAHORE:
Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, as per party policy, will not participate in a conference of the National Economic Forum, an official of the Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz said Monday. No official statement has been issued in this regard.
The official said, “PML-N does not recognize Yousaf Raza Gilani as a prime minister, hence the Punjab government will not coordinate with him.”
The Punjab government has also withdrawn Gilani’s security protocol and has only provided him security entitled to him as a former prime minister.
PML-N believes that court ruling had carried an inbuilt disqualification of Gilani, hence Pakistan is running without a prime minister, cabinet and government.
