Sharif to skip National Economic Forum conference

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, as per party policy, will not participate in a conference of the National Economic Forum, an official of the Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz said Monday. No official statement has been issued in this regard.

The official said, “PML-N does not recognize Yousaf Raza Gilani as a prime minister, hence the Punjab government will not coordinate with him.”

The Punjab government has also withdrawn Gilani’s security protocol and has only provided him security entitled to him as a former prime minister.

PML-N believes that court ruling had carried an inbuilt disqualification of Gilani, hence Pakistan is running without a prime minister, cabinet and government.

Someone here said it right, to the tune of: The Current Economic Hurdles for Pakistan is out of the ball-game of PLMn who's team is lacking any talent in the field.

@ Salman: You ought to get your facts straights. It was 41% in Punjab for PMLN, more than any party could take at any level, provincial or federal. PS: It's funny how the PTI walas have so much anti american sentiments but love to endorse the polls conducted by them
