LAHORE: Additional District and Sessions Judge Rai Muhammad Ayub Khan on Saturday sought comments from the Sabzazar station house officer (SHO) for May 16 on a petition filed by a woman seeking a case against her husband for allegedly making death threats and forcing her to live with him. Petitioner Farzana Bibi submitted that after she had filed for divorce in a family court, her husband Amjad had threatened to kill her and her family. He beat up her brother Razzaq and threatened to kill him, she said. She said that her husband was trying to force her to stay as his wife and live with him, but she did not want to. She said that she visited Sabzazar police station a few days ago to get a case registered against Amjad but the SHO did not listen to her. She asked the court to direct the SHO to register a case against her husband.
