May 12 Carnage: PBC calls for black day tomorrow

The lawyers, while observing the black day, would hoist black flags at the offices.

ISLAMABAD:

The Pakistan Bar Council (PBC) has appealed to the legal fraternity across the country to observe a black day on May 12 in condemnation of the carnage of May 12, 2007 in Karachi.

PBC Executive Committee chairman Burhan Moazzam Malik and committee members have requested the members of the bar and other civil society organisations to observe countrywide black day to condemn the tragic incident in which a large scale of killings of innocent citizens occurred.

The lawyers, while observing the black day, would hoist black flags at the offices and hold meetings of their bar associations for urging the government to probe the matter.
