Zaib Tunio, a journalist, and two other men were killed in Lalu Raunk, in Qambar-Shahdadkot district for allegedly reporting on criminal activities in the area.
Zaib was sitting at the press club in Shahi Bazaar on Thursday when a notorious criminal Nang Mugheri, Jani Mugheri and an unidentified man, started firing on the office. As a result, Zaib his brother Rustam Tunio and Deedar Khaskheli died on the spot. The culprits managed to escape. Zaib used to work for a Sindhi newspaper, Daily Kawish, and was known for highlighting criminal activities in the area.
