Captive power: Power firm to buy 2MW from sugar mill

Project will help address complaints of electricity load-shedding in addition to addressing problems of low voltage.

FAISALABAD:
The Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (Fesco) has decided to purchase two megawatts of electricity from Shakarganj Sugar Mills of Jhang. According to a spokesman for Fesco, an application in this connection has been sent to the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) for a formal approval. If anybody has any objection to the purchase of electricity from the captive power plant of Shakarganj Sugar Mills, he can file his objection with Nepra up to May 14, he said. “This project will help address complaints of electricity load-shedding in addition to addressing problems of low voltage and bar on new connections,” he added.
