Life-changing experience: Student wins Bangladeshi scholarship
The travel scholarship, won by Murtaza Quaid Kanchwala, was set up by the award-winning Bangladeshi architect.
KARACHI:
A third-year architecture student from the visual studies department of Karachi University (KU) bagged the “Rafiq Azam travelling scholarship 2012”. The travel scholarship, won by Murtaza Quaid Kanchwala, was set up by the award-winning Bangladeshi architect, Rafiq Azam. Kanchwala will visit Bangladesh and intern for a week at Azam’s office. Students from the KU, Indus Valley School of Arts and Architecture, NED University of Engineering and Technology and Dawood College of Engineering and Technology were invited to submit their portfolios. Three students were shortlisted and invited to speak briefly about their ideas at an event organised at PeaceNiche T2F.
