Toll rises: Blast victim dies from injuries

Mohammad Munshi, one of eight people who were injured during blasts outside bank branches across Sindh on May 2, died on Sunday. Munshi, 68, was checking a suspicious device that was emitting smoke outside Sindh Bank in Kotri, Jamshoro, when it exploded. He used to work as a gatekeeper at a nearby apartment. The victim’s family said that he was initially shifted to Civil Hospital, Hyderabad, and then taken to Liaquat University Hospital, Jamshoro, where doctors referred him to a hospital in Karachi. However, his relatives complain that a government-run hospital in Karachi refused to admit him because of the severity of his injuries.
