Gunshots and injuries: ASI gunned down, two policemen injured

An ASI identified as 45-year-old Aslam Qadri was shot dead outside his house in Rajput Colony.

An ASI identified as 45-year-old Aslam Qadri was shot dead outside his house in Rajput Colony, Gulshan-e-Iqbal on Sunday.


The police claim that two men on a motorcycle shot at him twice. His body was taken to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre. SHO Saleemullah Qureshi said that they were trying to determine the motive behind the murder. Qadri was posted at Saudabad police headquarters. He leaves behind a widow and six children.

Azhar, a SI and police constable Zafar were injured when unidentified suspects opened fire at their police mobile near Micasa Apartments, said the Aziz Bhatti police. SHO Kenson Dean said that four to five men on two motorcycles were responsible for the incident. The body of an unidentified young man was found in a gunny bag from Swat Colony. The police claim that the man was shot once.
