Section 144 prohibits congregation of more than four people, across all examination centres.
KARACHI:
Karachi Commissioner Roshan Ali Shaikh presided over a meeting on Saturday to review security arrangements around examination centres ahead of the Board of Intermediate Education annual exams, which are scheduled to begin from May 7. Students will be suspended from taking exams for three years if they are found to have hired impersonators to sit the board exams in their place.
Officials also decided to impose section 144, which prohibits congregation of more than four people, across all examination centres. Only students will be allowed within an area of 100 metres around the centres. All photocopying shops will remain closed from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm on examination days. Any cellular phone, if found from a candidate inside the exam centre, would be seized.
