Darul Uloom Haqania: Kidnapped religious teacher found dead
Police says Naseeb had been kidnapped by unidentified people from Taru Jaba area of Nowshera district a few days ago.
PESHAWAR:
A religious scholar and teacher of Darul Uloom Haqania, Maulana Naseeb, was found dead on Ring Road in Nowshera on Thursday.
Police said that Naseeb had been kidnapped by unidentified people from Taru Jaba area of Nowshera district a few days ago.
A statement issued by the seminary following his disappearance had alleged that secret agencies had picked up Maulana Naseeb when he was on his way to Kohat for a protest. The statement read that if the teacher was not released the seminary would hold a major protest along with other seminaries in Peshawar. However, the body of the Maulana was later discovered.
“The man had a bag full of medicine and a writing pad on which Sheikhul Hadith Haqania was written,” SHO Yasin Khan said, adding that there was no sign of torture or bullet on the body and the postmortem report would confirm the cause of the death.
