Narcotics: Case registered against former SHO
SHO said he would soon disclose names of policemen who were involved in the incident and had links with drug mafia.

An FIR was registered against former station house officer of Saddar police on Thursday for replacing 52 kg narcotics seized in a raid with soap, hair removing powder and gur.
Former SHO Muhammad Ayub Sahi was found guilty in an inquiry led by SSP Investigation Mujahid Akbar Khan. The CPO Talking to The Express Tribune, Sahi rejected the charge and said that he was wrongly in the case to protect the real culprits. He said he would soon disclose names of policemen who were involved in the incident and had links with drug mafia. SHO Ghulam Fareed said Sahi would be arrested once paperwork was complete. The inquiry against Sahi and two other policemen Tahir Manj and Zafar Iqbal was initiated on replacing 38 kg marijuana, 13 kg heroin and one kg opium kept in Saddar police station with soap, hair removing powder and gur. The officials were required to submit the drugs seized drug pushers in 2011 to the storeroom.
