Rai Muhammad Tahir was appointed on Wednesday as Deputy Inspector General (Operations). The post fell vacant when Ghulam Mehmood Dogar was made an OSD. Tahir belongs to the 21st Common. He started his career in 19993 as an ASP in Sindh. He holds an LLM in Criminal Litigation from the City Law School in London, UK. He has held the post of district police officer in Muzaffargarh, Rahim Yar Khan and Sheikhupra.
