Punjab to spend Rs10bn on flood rehabilitation
CM Punjab said that Punjab will spend Rs10 billion for the rehabilitation of flood victims.

Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that Punjab will spend Rs10 billion for the rehabilitation of flood victims.
Addressing a press conference in Lahore, the chief minister said that the Punjab Government is considering a foolproof system to distribute aid among the flood victims.
CM Sharif said that he spent nine days in flood affected areas, and thousands of acres of crops had been destroyed. Speaking on aid, he said that 40,000 bottles of drinking water were being distributed in these areas every day. He also said that the road link between DG Khan and Muzaffargarh had been severed.
The chief minister said that Rs25 billion had been asked for from the federal government, but so far no reply had been received in this regard. He also said that the federal government should share details of the foreign aid coming in.
He urged the international community to help Pakistan in these testing times.
