Several industrialists announced on Friday plans to launch a civil disobedience movement against the fuel adjustment surcharge in electricity bills.
A protest demonstration was held in front of FESCO headquarters on Canal Road. The protesters blocked the road for several hours. They also burned some electricity bills. The protestors demanded that the fuel adjustment surcharge be removed from the power bills and warned that they will not pay electricity bills if the surcharge was not removed by May 5.
